He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry VanDrese and Sadie VanDrese (Delmont); his daughter-in-law Janice VanDrese; and his siblings-in-law, Judy VanDrese and Bill Reynolds.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Sodergren of Gladstone; his children, Vicki Julian (Bill) of Clio, MI, Mark VanDrese (Kim) of Flint, MI, Kevin VanDrese of Whittemore, MI, Annette Cook of Flint, MI, Mary Fowler of Clio, MI and Janice Smith (Tom) of Clio, MI; and his siblings, Ronald VanDresse of Wisconsin, Sharon Sovey (Alex) of Gwinn, Kenneth VanDrese (Laurie) of Escanaba, Shirley Patek (Gene) of Wisconsin, Cheryl Pepin (Larry) of Arizona and JoAnn Reynolds of Cornell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Clayton spent 33 years in Flint working for Chevrolet Bus and Truck and was a member of the Flint Clown's Club, participating in parades, benefits and charity events.
