Cecilia Chie Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecilia Chie of Gladstone, Michigan, born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, who passed away on March 10, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Roof and Gertrude Roof (Rominski); her former husbands, Harry Saja and Charles Gorham; her husband Albert Chie; her sons, Harry and Paul Saja; her siblings, Gwendolen Patterson and James Roof; and her son-in-law Joseph Garrett.
She is survived by: her daughter Rachel Garrett; her siblings, Edward Roof (Laura), Mariann Hoffman (James) and Roseann Dufek (John); her daughter-in-law ZoeAnn Saja; and her brother-in-law Gary Patterson. She is also survived by grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Cil was a member of the organizations CHAT and RSVP for many years.
She enjoyed volunteering, singing at the local nursing homes, and helping organize Red Cross blood donations.
