She was predeceased by: her husband David Phalen; her siblings, Nick, John, Wesley Chernick, Ann Pinozek and Helen Ryan; and also, Nicholas and Mary Chernick (Warchena).

She is survived by: her daughter Rhonda Dykowski (Tom) of Gladstone, MI; and her siblings, David Chernick (Linda) of Escanaba, MI, Olga DeGrand and Jean DeGrand of Escanaba, MI. She is also survived by Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
