With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice Roberts of Gladstone, Michigan, born in Escanaba, Michigan, who passed away on November 10, 2020 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank VanEffen and Mary VanEffen (LaCross); her husband Fred Roberts; her stepfather Art Beaudoin; her granddaughter Heather Hess; her son-in-law Russ Wendrick; and her siblings, Bob VanEffen (Dorothy), Roy VanEffen (Tillie), Fritz VanEffen (Lorraine), Orville VanEffen, Dorothy Johnson (Arvy), Shirley DeGrand (Curly), Gladys Wolf (Blash) and Carol Blake (Sherman).
She is survived by: her children, Ken Roberts (Marcy) of Mass City, MI, Butch Roberts (Janice) of Gladstone, Tom Roberts (Mickie) of Gladstone, Diane Hess (Karl) of Gladstone, Cheryl Wendrick of Gladstone, Nancy Levesque (Marvin) of Escanaba and Lisa Trotter (John) of Gladstone; and her brother Larry VanEffen (Sheila). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
