Thomas R. Fahlstrom Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas R. Fahlstrom of Gaylord, Michigan, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on October 5, 2023 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Axel Henning and Blanche Louise Fahlstrom (Olinger); his wife Vera Mae; and his brothers, Oscar and Leonard.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Harriger (Tom) of Gaylord, Daryl Fahlstrom (Judy) of Jackson, Thomas Fahlstrom of Ypsilanti and Karl Fahlstrom (Sandy) of Sun Prairie, WI. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
He kept busy with volunteer work through RSVP, running the OCCOA bingo program for 25 years, and volunteering with a nature program in the Vanderbilt area planting trees and making bluebird houses.
Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Gaylord First United Methodist Church or to the Otsego County Commission on Aging.
