It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stan J. Solokis (Gaylord, Michigan), who passed away on October 11, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Solokis and Petronella Solokis (Zalewski); his daughter Sharon; and his son-in-law Daniel. He is survived by: his wife Gladys; his children, Virginia, Stan (Ellen), Donna, Steve (Heidi), Marianne (Todd) and Deloris; his grandchildren, Leah (Andrew), Paul, Christa (Devin), Tiffany, Vincent, Amber (Keith) and Daniel; and his great grandchildren, Isabella, Briella, Gabriella, Atticus and Kash.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Athletic Association at 321 N. Otsego Ave., Gaylord, MI 49735.

“I knew him as coach.. will always remember his interest in my life as I lost my father in death when I was 9 years old. Talked with him and his lovely wife Gladys, about 3 months ago.He was my father figure for many years. I said as much to him when on the phone call.
