He was predeceased by: his parents, James Simmons and Lavina Simmons (Butler); his wife Geraldine; his siblings, James (Isabell), Margaret Patterson (Clare) and Richard (Ruthann); and his sister-in-law Merle Tourville.
He is survived by: his significant other Gerrie; and his children, Russell, Thomas (Peggy), Larry (Susan) and Carolann Knapp (Phil). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews.
