He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard H. Riker and Arlene L. Riker (Bongey); his wife Karen (Erdman); his stepmother Elaine; and his sister Jean Beaune.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn (Stuart Turnbull), Ross and Meg Foote (Martin); his grandchildren, Jonah, Katherine Foote (Kate), Cory and Jordan Turnbull; and his brothers, Charles and Robert (Nancy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
