With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kurt Joachim Von Oppen (Gaylord, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 28, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard and Ida (Oppenkowski); and his wife Virginia "Ginny". He is survived by: his children, Richard Kurt Von Oppen (Rick) and Karen Von Oppen; his grandchildren, Taylor Von Oppen, Dylan Von Oppen, Brooke Somero (Brett), Joshua Kolasa (Mariah) and Zachary Kolasa; and his great grandchildren, Patrick and Margaret. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and other loved ones, both relatives and friends.
