Julia Marie Prusakiewicz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2025, at the age of 103, Julia Marie Prusakiewicz of Gaylord, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Switalski and Sabina Switalski (Jaruzel); her husband Stanley; and her siblings, Walter, Julian, Vera Dreffs, Mary Jozwiak, Martha Mitchell, Ted, Casmir, John, Edward, Francis Jr., Stanley and Roman.
She is survived by: her children, Robert (Barbara) of Taylor, MI., Diane Wiechec (Virgil) of Bay City, MI., James (Gail) of Gaylord, Dolores Erndt of Bay City, MI., Thomas (Cynthia) of Gaylord, Ernest (Kathy) of Gaylord, Eugene (Sheila) of Petersburg, MI., Gerald (Tricia) of Dexter, MI. and Marvin (Denise) of Gaylord; her sister Lucy Dombkowski of Farmington Hills; and her siblings-in-law, Richard Prusakiewicz (Margaret) and Jo Anne Prusakiewicz. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service (850 N Center Ave, Gaylord, MI 49734). A Mass was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Cathedral (606 N Ohio Ave, Gaylord, MI 49735).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Cathedral or to St. Mary Cathedral School.
