We are sad to announce that on March 17, 2023, at the age of 75, Gerald G. Charles of Gaylord, Michigan, born in Escanaba, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Charles and Anna Charles (VanMeighem); and his sister Geraldine "Geri" Taipala. He is survived by: his children, Catherine Newell (Ken), Joseph Charles and Travis Larsen; his grandchildren, Summer Traub (Chad), Curtis Newell, Blake Newell, Faith Newell, Devon Charles and Violet Charles; his great grandchildren, Brody Traub and Thomas Teets; his former wife Patricia Larsen; his siblings, Fred Charles, Andy Charles (Linda), Donald Charles, Rosemary Charles and Jim Charles; and his brother-in-law Robert Taipala.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a youth hunting program of your choice.
