He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Duran and Catherine Duran (Doktor); and his son Matthew. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn of Petoskey; his children, Joel and Julie Washburn (Tim) of Byron Center; his daughter-in-law Marcy of Harbor Springs; his children, Phil (Annie) of Petoskey and Sarah Julien (Chris) of Brutus; and his sisters, Lorraine Prevost (Ron) of Naples, Florida. and Carole Walsh of Naples, Florida..
