He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Benjamin Sides Sr. and Dorothy Lucille Sides (Clabaugh); and his siblings, Harvey Sides, Cecil Sides Jr. and Lorraine Sides.

He is survived by: his son Jamie L. Sides (Melanie); his grandson Jameson Sides; and his siblings, Jerry Sides, Greg Sides (Fran), Helen Sides and Bailey Sides (Betty).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Vanderbilt Area Church at 455 W Main St, Vanderbilt, MI 49795, in his honor.
