It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carleton L. Fix (Gaylord, Michigan), born in Kankakee, Illinois, who passed away on July 26, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carleton LaVern Fix and Lillian Marie Scharrer Fix; his daughter Lynne Dobrzelewski; his brother Colonel Ron E. Fix; his parents-in-law, George and Victoria Halpin Sr.; his brothers, Major George (Tina Halpin), Richard "Skip" (Mary Elizabeth "Bep" Halpin), Donald "Duck" (Mary Halpin) and William VanDike; and his great-niece Lauren VanDike.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Halpin Fix; his children, Carleton Fix (Buddy), Philip Fix, Saundra May (Rick), Mitch Dobrzelewski and Mike Fanzini (Ilene); his grandchildren, Jamie Winkelman, Jennifer Winkelman, Carla McDonald (Kevin), Zachery Fix, Josh Dobrzelewski (Amanda) and Janelle Brink; his great grandchildren, Lillian, Levi, Cole Winkelman, Maeve, Caelan McDonald, Donovan Burke and George Klee; and his siblings-in-law, Geraldine Fix, Patricia VanDike, Jill Halpin, Michael (Mic) and Jackie Halpin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the McLaren Northern Michigan Foundation for the Gaylord Karmanos Infusion Center.
