She was predeceased by: her daughter-in-law Edwin "Jim" Johnson (Roxann); her grandson Benjamin Johnson; her great grandchild Thomas Golba; and her siblings, John Coatta and Helen Davis.

She is survived by: her parents, George L. and Helen M. Coatta (Peffers); her spouse Edward J. Johnson; and her children, Margaret "Pegi" Jenkins (John) of Gaylord, Judith Johnston (George) of Lapeer, George "Tom" Johnson (Jenni) of Gaylord, Stephen Johnson (Judi) of Gaylord and David Johnson (Jane).
