It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard D. Swagart of Garden, Michigan, born in Saint Johns, Michigan, who passed away on July 4, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Swagart and Hazel Swagart (Betzer); his brothers, Gaylord Swagart and Gerald D. Swagart; his son-in-law J. C. Stilwell; and his sisters-in-law, Norma and Frances Swagart.

He is survived by: his children, Paul Edward Swagart of St. John's, MI and Deborah Jayne Thompson (Ray Zollner) of Cheboygan, MI; his sister Isdeane Applebee (Clare) of Ovid, MI; his grandchildren, Brad, Chase, Michelle (Keith) and Michael; his great grandchildren, Keith and Matthew; and his pet Tootsie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
