He was predeceased by: his close friends, Irish and Dublin; his parents, James McAteer and Helen McAteer; his siblings, John'Jack' McAteer (Eileen) and James'Ben' McAteer (Pat); and also Jean McAteer-Falvo.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Jim McAteer, Trish McAteer-Wilson (Duke), Tim McAteer (Melissa), Dot Villaire and Kathy McAteer-Taft (Scott). He is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Tail Waggers Animal Rescue or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
