It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George W Hnatiuk (Garden City, Michigan), who passed away on March 30, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Martha; his children, Gregory (Amie), Anna Sophia Dewey (Kevin), Nicholas (Kathryn) and Christopher George; his grandchildren, Madeline, Eliot, Aleksander, Elijah, Leah, Miriam, Noah, Gus, Lucy and Timothy; his brothers, Bohdan (Wiebke) and Andree (Victoria); his parent Ukraine; and his friends, Notre Dame and Belize. He was also cherished by friends, patients, and family.

In lieu of flowers, Dr. George Hnatiuk's wishes were that donations be made to the Ukrainian American Archives & Museum / 9630 Joseph Campau / Hamtramck, MI 48212. Dr. Hnatiuk and his family were very proud to have donated their parents' extensive collection of Ukrainian folk arts and artifacts to this Museum in 2018-2019.
