She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond J. Fortier; her son Robert Fortier; her parents, Frank Smith and Althea Smith; and her siblings, Frank Smith and Vesta McFadden.
She is survived by: her children, Helene Billock (Tom), Linda Vipond (James), Raymond Fortier (Kathleen) and Janice McMichael (Neal); her grandchildren, Kristene Topinka (Erik), Jennifer Vipond, Raymond Vipond (JayAnn), Craig McMichael (Mary), Jeffrey McMichael (Lauren), Beth Demmer (Mark), Matthew Fortier (Molly), Tom Billock (Jocelyn) and Heather McCarthy (Sean); and her great grandchildren, Mya, Avery Topinka, Morgan, Miles Vipond, Clover McMichael, Robert, Connor, Padraig McMichael, Brandon, Lauren, Jack Demmer, Mason and Cody Fortier.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home (1139 Inkster Rd, Garden City, MI 48135). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Charity of your choice.
