With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernard J Kotlarz (Garden City, Michigan), who passed away on January 25, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Julia; his children, Diane Hackman (late Monte), Donald (Debra) and Robert; his grandchildren, Andrea Rossi (Ben), Kelly Hayes (Jon), Kristen Frasier (Travis), Lisa Mihalo (Adam), Brooke Dooley, Ryan (Caroline) and Lindsay Cuper (Dan); his great grandchildren, Julia, Sofia, Max, Evelyn, Eleanor, Nora, Luna, Charlotte and Skyler; and his siblings, Genevieve, Chester (Maryanne) and Richard.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home (1139 Inkster Rd, Garden City, MI 48135). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Linus Catholic Church (25500 Hass St, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
