He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard DeFreez and Elizabeth DeFreez (Abel); his wife Constance DeFreez; and his siblings, Richard, Charles, Donald, Katherine and Lina.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Seyfred (Dale), Julie DeFreez, Vicki Flinchum and Elizabeth Nelson (late Scott); his stepchildren, Ann Crumley and Mick Crumley (Amy); and his grandchildren, Josh (Sara), Heather (TJ), Robert, Vaughn, Jake, Hannah, Mason, Marguerite and Gabrielle. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
