She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell McLaren and Dorothy McLaren; her husband Duane Smith; and her daughter-in-law Michele Smith. She is survived by: her children, Suzanne Martin (John) of Galien, Alan Smith (Treva) of Salem and Ronald Smith (René) of Bend, Oregon; her grandchildren, Erica Furlong (Jim) of Roanoke, Alexander Martin (Jenn Brunink) of Grand Rapids and Leslie Caliguri (Mike) of Grand Rapids; her great grandchildren, Zoey and Simon; and her brothers, Robert McLaren (Naomi) of Noblesville and William McLaren (Lisa) of Macomb, Illinois. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
