He was predeceased by: his parents, Reinhart Strefling and Anne Strefling (Kading); and his sister Frieda Cluster. He is survived by: his wife Rose Strefling (Hackel) of Galien; and his siblings, Karl Strefling of Galien, John Strefling (Julie) of New Carlisle and Maria Schmaltz (Carl) of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved as his own children; and a host of cousins and friends.
