He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Burton and Gladys Burton; his sister Francis Eager of Edwina DeFelice; his daughter Corrinne Worden; and his grandson Kendall Phillips.

He is survived by: his spouse Margaret E. Burton (Disbrow); his grandchildren, Robert Soule, Anna Stevens (Justin) and Clarissa Kelley; and his great grandchildren, Gavin Soule, Blake Stevens, Andre Kelley, Jr. and Kayalara Kelley.
