She was predeceased by: her parents, William Scovel and Genevieve Scovel (Morris). She is survived by: her husband Paul Herder; her children, Dan Herder (RoseMary), Karen Doorn (Dave) and Kathy Sportel (Gary); her grandchildren, Diane Workman (Ben), Melissa Haan (Zach), Rachel Fletcher (Mark), Kelley Fine (Jason), Jessica Doorn, Joy Sabat (Tony), Charlie Sportel (Madison) and Paul Sportel; and her parents-in-law, Vern Herder and Norma Herder. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.

Memorials in Maureen's memory may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or Covenant United Reformed Church.
