Age 83, of Galesburg passed away Tuesday night, September 3, 2024. Lowell was born in Manchester, KY, on January 23, 1941, the son of Herbert and Lela (Gibson) Thomas. Lowell worked for many years in the trucking industry and was owner of B & L Trucking. In his spare time, he enjoyed visiting with family and friends and leisure travel. Lowell is survived by his children, Shelly Thomas, Ray (Cynthia Nagel) Thomas and Amythyst Thomas; grandchildren, Stephanie, Brett, Travis, Nolan and Logan; three great grandchildren; siblings, Nancy Sayers, Nell Knauss and Harold (Diana) Thomas; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Lowell was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Bradley Thomas; brothers, Theo Thomas, Daryl Thomas and Raleigh Thomas; sisters, Nina Thomas and Nita Thomas.
