He was predeceased by: his mothers, Amanda Gale and Jane Akins (Kindy); and his daughter Laana Akins. He is survived by: his children, Christina Akins, Kenneth Akins, Sean Akins and Jennifer McCuiston; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jason, Monica, Samantha, Darcy, Jessica, Gracie West, Katherine Cannell, Anne, Lauren and Nicholas Akins; and his great grandchildren, Conner, Molly, Madlyn, Marcy, Alex, Spencer, Trevor, Tony, Evie, Ellie and Meara.
