He was predeceased by: his parents, John Srackangast and Helene Srackangast; his wife Carol Srackangast; his son Joseph Srackangast; and his stepson Donald Merriam.
He is survived by: his daughter Sue Srackangast; his daughter-in-law Alice Srackangast; his stepsons, Daniel Merriam (Diana) and Jeffrey Merriam; his grandchildren, Aaron Srackangast (Meagan), Colene Wade (Travis), Andrew Srackangast and Zoe Srackangast; and his stepgrandchildren, Reginna Striebel, Stephanie Merriam, Dan Merriam, Jr. and Nathan Merriam. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Duane may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
