It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dixie Martin (Galesburg, Michigan), born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on July 29, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Root and Mary Root (Riese); her husband Kenneth V. Martin; and her siblings, Charles Root, Jr., Priscilla "Pat" Bodtke, Richard Root and Mary Lou Roberts.
She is survived by: her son Kenneth Martin (Pam) of Kalamazoo; her grandchildren, Jessica Martin of Kalamazoo and Kenneth Ross Martin of Indiana; her great grandchildren, Tyler of Zoey, R. J. and Colton; and her siblings, Audrey "Ann" Douglas (Doug), Franklin Root, Glory Ammerman, Hope Robb (Chet), Barry Root (Barb), Stanley Root, Brandy Root (Delene) and Toni Garrett (Dave). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
