She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Wolfin and Frances Wolfin (Drennan). She is survived by: her husband Joe Gilbert; her children, Tammy Bancroft (Gaylon) and Tim Gilbert (Sue); her grandchildren, A. J., Ryan and Kristen; her great grandchildren, Miles, Seth, Bethany, Zahara and Alara; and her brothers, Roger (Rosemary) and Ronnie Wolfin (Jan).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ruth's name are suggested to the Burns Township Fire Department, 10355 Bath Rd., Byron, MI 48418.
