He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard C. Gilbert and Helen M. Gilbert (Tunningley); his wife Dona McKeon; his brothers, Dan and Jim; his siblings-in-law, Shelia Gilbert and Gordon Lampi; his mother-in-law Minnie McKeon; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Jo Murphy and Chuck Murphy.

He is survived by : his daughters, Cynthia Webster (Mark) of Gaines and Sandra Gilbert of Gaines; his grandchildren, Mark Webster (Sarah) of Kalamazoo and Katelyn Dean (Joshua) of Durand; his great grandchild Adrielle Webster of Kalamazoo; his siblings, Gary Gilbert (Judy) of Lowell and Sharon Lampi of Gaines; and his sister-in-law Shirley Gilbert of Grand Blanc. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
