He was predeceased by: his father Juan Hueltas; and his sister Antonia Huertas. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Huertas; his sons, Richard J. Huertas (Arlyn) of St. Clair and Joshua J. Huertas of Gaines; his granddaughter Ava Madison Huertas; his mother Candita Martinez (Puerto Rico) of Juncos; and his siblings, Carmen Conde, Juan Huertas (Mara), Hector Huertas, Margarita Pacheco, Rosie Cartagena (Nikio) and Juanita Soto (Luis Angel). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
