It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maria Lois Strong of Gaines, Michigan, born in Byron Center, Michigan, who passed away on January 20, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Cornelius Burmania and Jennie Burmania (Bush); her husband Maurice Strong; her sons, Maurice "Ed" Strong II and Marc E. Strong; her sons-in-law, Greg Uhde, Elliott Nelson and Bill Sweeney; and her siblings, Alyce Koetje, Gordon, David and John Burmania.

She is survived by : her daughters, Marcia Strong, Marie Nelson, Melody Pierce-Sweeney, Mary Fowler (Rocky) and Maurine Aldrich (Nathan); her daughters-in-law, Diana and Linda Strong; and her siblings, Paul, Neil and Janice. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, with two on the way; two great-great grandchildren.
