She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Cooney and Thelma Cooney (Preston); and her husband Robert. She is survived by: her children, Robert Bates (Cheryl) of Hampshire, TN. and Tina Bates of Byron; her grandchildren, Daniel Bates of Lynville, TN., Cheyenna Mayfield (Doug) of Spring Hill, TN., Julian Hylton of St. Augustine, FL. and Adrian Hylton of St. Augustine, FL.; her great grandchildren, A. J., Lilly and James; and her brother Thomas Cooney of Flint. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
