It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas James Fritz of Gagetown, Michigan, who passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlington Fritz and Arlene Fritz (Schuette); his father-in-law Joseph Lorencz Jr.; his sister-in-law Linda Sattler; his nephews, Jimmy and Logan Sattler; and his uncle Don Schuette.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Lorencz; his children, Jodie of Warren, Brent (Patti) of Royal Oak and Ryan (Kathleen) of Bloomfield Hills; his grandchildren, Rachel, Andrew and Zachary; his siblings, Roger of Owendale, Mark of Caseville, Michael of Owendale and Barbara Hornbacher (James) of Sebewaing; his aunts, Joyce Rosenthal and Kay Schuette; his uncle Dale Schuette (Donna); his mother-in-law Mary Lorencz; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Lorencz, Margaret Shagena (John), Kathy Sciumeca (Michael D'Onofrio) and Jim Sattler. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Kranz Funeral Home (6850 Main St, Cass City, MI 48726). Viewing was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Our Lady Consolata Parish (4618 South St, Gagetown, MI 48735). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Our Lady Consolata St. Agatha Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund (make check out to Our Lady Consolata) or to a charity of donor's choice.
