He was predeceased by: his wife Arlene; his daughter Julie Link; and his brothers, Roger, Robert and Marshall.
He is survived by: his son Jim Ackerman (Denise); his son-in-law Jay Link (Julie); his grandchildren, Craig Ackerman (Lindsay) and Peter Ackerman (Emilia); his great grandchildren, Jenna, Olivia, Mia and Caleb; his sister Catherine Glasen; his siblings-in-law, Verna Ackerman (Marshall) and Jack White; his wife Jutta; and his daughters, Christine and Julia.
