He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Dietz and Ella Rose Dietz (Eyestone); his children, William, Kevin Dietz and Amy Dietz; his brother Bob Dietz; and his close friend Joseph Schietecatte.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Dietz (Sue) of Howard City, Roger Dietz (Yvonne) of Grant, Kathy Grant (Skip) of Newaygo, Marilyn "Marny" Salacina (Dale) of Newaygo, Kristi Barton (Arthur) of Grant, Randy Dietz of Newaygo and Dave Dietz (Tricia) of Middleville; the mother of his children Marilyn Dietz of Newaygo; and his siblings, Diane Tilden of Indiana, Dale Dietz (Faith) of Muskegon, Larry Dietz (Mary) of Grand Rapids and Ellen Jorgenson (Les) of Grant. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, & 1 great-great granddaughter.
