He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Raymond and Mary Jane Stroven (Dow); his wife Marilyn J. Klingler; his children, Ronda Fohlbrook (Mark) of Fremont, Steve Stroven (Melissa) of Fremont, John Stroven (Karyn) of Grant and Scott Stroven of Fremont; his granddaughter Aimee Hovey (Randy); his children, Audra Schuler (Justin), Brittney Morse (Josh), Vicki Hill (Brock), Brandon Stroven, Matt Stroven (Amanda), Mike Stroven (Melanie), Ryan Stroven and Ashlee Stroven; his brother-in-law Donald Klingler (Jeanette) of Oklahoma; and his brothers, Victor Stroven and Richard "Dick" Stroven. He was also cherished by 17 great grandchildren.
