He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Ray and Mable Pauline Gibson (Ackley); his wife Sheila Purcell; his brother-in-law Morris Davis; and his nephews, Terry Davis and Roger Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Shawn Gibson (Deb) of Hesperia, Steven Gibson (Mary) of Fremont, Brian Gibson (Kim) of Grand Rapids, Brendon Gibson of Hesperia and Stacie Gibson (Dawn) of Lansing; his grandson Eric Gibson (Loretta); his children, Marielle Gibson (DJ Dusenberry), Colton Gibson, Zane Gibson, Nicole Stafford (Jonathan), Joseph Gibson (Cruz), Cooper Gibson and Kennedy Gibson; his great grandchildren, Stephanie, Logan, Liam and Lily; his sister Evelyn Davis; and his great-nephews, Robert Davis (Gail) and Mark Davis (Tammi).
