He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Benjamin and Margaret Belle Syers (Noble); his son Michael Converse; his siblings, Bob Syers (Clio), Junior Syers, Jimmy Syers, Patty Pyatt (Ted), Mary Syers and Elizabeth Halbower (Bill); his niece Lee Ann Halbower; and his nephew Jack Syers.
He is survived by: his wife Jean (Rought) of Fremont; his daughter Sheila Cregg (Robert) of Branch, Michigan; his daughter-in-law Kyle Converse (Merrill) of Fremont; his grandson Robert Cregg Jr. (Gina Martin); his siblings, Bryan Cregg (Susan Shepard) of Mobile, Alabama, Jeff Converse (Deb Borgman) of Fremont, Damon Converse (Ginger Stroven) of Fremont, Mieka Downing (Jay) of Rockford and Halley Parker (Jeremy) of Fremont; his nieces and nephews, Bill, Nancy Halbower, Fran, Harold Dulin, Courtney Halbower, Ben, Lia Halbower, Lisa, Stan Bush, Bobbie Syers, Mary Beth Syers, Jim Syers, Teddy Pyatt, Tom Pyatt, Shelly, Terry Shanafelt, Dorothy, Joe Bolles, Stacey Shanafelt, Becky Adams (Lester), Sandy Welsch, Marlita, Pat, Liz Bolles, Beverly Verschuren and Ornie Heiss; and his close friends, Sherry, Don, Kyle, Mike, Ernie and Marty. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren.
