She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edna Timmer (Watson) and Albert Timmer; her children, Mark Vanderlaan (Billie) of Croton, MI and Anne Williams (Kevin) of Seattle, WA; her grandsons, John Vanderlaan of Clarksville, MI and Jesse Vanderlaan of Traverse City, MI.; her husband Gordon; her daughter Jill Wright; and her son-in-law Lloyd Wright.
