She was predeceased by: her mother Norma Leaver (Johnson); her brother Bill Leaver; and her parents-in-law, Don and Phyllis Hoffman. She is survived by: her father Jack Leaver; her husband Jim Hoffman; her daughter Katie Ramey (Mike) of Pleasant Ridge, Michigan; her siblings, Kathy DeKuiper (Roger), Jack Leaver, Jr. (Vonni) and Mike Leaver (Hank); her sisters-in-law, Jeanne Leaver, Mary Hoffman and Nancy Leaver; and her pet Sophie. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Vera's House.
