He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie; his significant other Ruth Hopkins; and his siblings, Lester Tanis, Alvin Tanis, Pauline Tanis and Donna Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Burkle of Fremont, Tammy Lockwood (Dan) of Fremont and Richard Tanis (Tracy) of Fremont; his grandchildren, Kerri Rogers (Jeremy), Craig Burkle (Heather), Kurt Lockwood (Brenda), Kylene Moschke (Matt), Alyssa Tanis (Ryan Priest) and Brent Tanis; his great grandchildren, Kaylee Rogers, Lexie Rogers, MaKya Burkle, Thomas Lockwood, Lucas Lockwood, Emma Jo Moschke and Hunter Moschke; and his siblings, Evelyn Harmon of Fremont, Gladys Lauritzen of Fremont, Charlotte Andrews of Morley Stanwood and Jerry Tanis of Fremont.
