Gary James Nelsen Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 13, 2025, at the age of 82, Gary James Nelsen of Fremont, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nelsen and Doris Nelsen (Jackson); his brother Keith Nelsen; his parents-in-law, Harold and Thelma Chrystler; and his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Chrystler, Donald Chrystler, Carol Halverson (Al) and Wayne Chrystler.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Chrystler; his children, Justin Nelsen (Amber), Amanda Nelsen, Craig Nelsen (Jill), Cheri Nelsen-Walter (Paul) and Christie Nelsen (Kimmy); his brother Chris Nelsen (Shelly); and his siblings-in-law, Carole Nelsen, Paul Chrystler, Nancy Chrystler, Larry Chrystler, Ronald Chrystler and Lori Chrystler. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren & several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. (637 E Main St, Fremont, MI 49412). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Reeman Christian Reformed Church (6121 Fitzgerald Ave, Fremont, MI 49412).
