He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Peter TerVeer and Harmke TerVeer (Nanniga); his spouse Jean C. Meijer; his children, Robert TerVeer (Trena), Nancy Riness (David) and Ken TerVeer (Carrie); his siblings, John TerVeer (Bep) and Lineke Sipkes; his sons, Peter John TerVeer II and John David TerVeer; and his sister Dicky Zuurman. He was also cherished by many grandchildren & great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Newaygo County Compassion Home.
