He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Goforth and Myrtle Goforth (Carrier); and his wife Janet Maxine Goforth (Miller). He is survived by: his children, Gina Wesseldyke (Jack), Aaron Goforth (Terri), Michael Goforth, Chris Goforth and Michelle Walters; his grandchildren, Janet Lubben (Randy), James Stevenson, Jesse Stevenson and Caley Goforth; and his siblings, Clark Goforth (Mary) and Cathy McBride. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
