He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Katz and Rita Katz; his siblings, Delores Gibson (Albert), Marilyn Pogue (Raymond), Joe Katz of Florida and Richard Katz (Kay); his brothers-in-law, John Root and Jon Gitchell; and his parents-in-law, Robert and Mildred Singelyn.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia M. Root; his children, Michael Katz and Jodi Temple (Ben); his grandchildren, Nicole and Katarina Temple; his stepgranddaughter Kalen; his siblings, Mary Pasak (Joe) of Florida, Madonna Gitchell of Saginaw and Mick Katz (Mon) of Florida; his sisters-in-law, Rachel Katz of Florida, Judy Root and Deb Jones; and his pets, Marie, Thom and Motor. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
