She was predeceased by: her parents, James Brownlie and Margaret Brownlie (Fasquel); her siblings, Emil Brownlie and Bertha LaValey (Courtney); her sister-in-law Angie Brownlie; her niece Diane Dennis; and her nephew Gary LaValey.
She is survived by: her husband Peter VanHaaren; her children, Sandy VanHaaren of Saginaw, Jill VanHaaren (Michelle) of Cicero, IN and David VanHaaren (Erin) of DeWitt, MI.; her grandchildren, Tyler (Kate), Ryan (Erin), Brenna, Eli and Owen; her great grandchildren, Wesley, Payton, Sam and Jack; her brother James Brownlie of Shields; her sister-in-law Mary Brownlie of St. Charles; and her niece Sue.
