He was predeceased by: his parents, William Paul and Lucy Watkins (Cassidy); and his sister Julia Mertes. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie (Mertes); his children, Edward Watkins, William B. Watkins of Frederic and Traci Howe (Brad) of Gaylord; and his siblings, Jean Costello, Janet Rybiski, Cindy Hoover and Russell Watkins. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
