He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hertel and Violet Hertel (Krause); and his sister Gloria Gieseking (Fred). He is survived by: his wife Deborah Eileen Nash; his children, Cindi Hertel, Kelly Hood (Doug), Beth (Dana), William (Evonne) and Michael (Kara); his grandchildren, Daniel, Katelyn, Alison, Ainsley, Ivy, Clara, Ophelia and Nash; and his sister Marilyn Grennan (late Jack). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be addressed to St. John Lutheran Church in Bill's memory.
